What makes St. Joseph School great? Our faculty and staff, students and families have created a community that continues to grow and flourish. It is our people that make the difference.

And what Catholic elementary school just celebrated a century of Christ-centered excellence in education and received the Downers Grove Community Spirit Award? What school has 64% of alumni regularly making the dean’s list at their respective high schools, has fourteen 2010 Senior Illinois State Scholars, numerous college scholarship recipients and hundreds of benefactors who make a difference in the lives of those around them? St. Joseph School!

Generous donations from our parish and school families and friends have made great things happen at St. Joseph School this year. To name a few: In September 2010, we opened the doors of St. Joseph Preschool to 3 and 4 year old students; both children and teachers are having a great year. In September, we also hosted the first-ever Alumni Gala with over 500 in attendance; it was the perfect end to our year-long Centennial celebration. We’ve enhanced technology in our classrooms with new equipment, including interactive “smart boards,” and made improvements to the school computer lab, too.

To ensure that the St. Joseph mission of Catholic education continues into its second century, we are asking you to consider a donation to the 2011 St. Joseph School Annual Appeal. Last year, over $70,000 was generously given. With your help, we hope to exceed that amount this year. Your gift will provide spiritual and educational materials, computer technology, faculty salary enhancements, tuition assistance, upgrades/renovations to our facilities, and more.
