Battle of the Books
The Battle of the Books Final Competitions took place over the past two Fridays. For those in the younger grades, the Battle of the Books competitions begin in fourth grade, but the younger grades are in attendance to observe the final battles, adding excitement to their upcoming fourth grade initiation into this great library-run program!
This year's competitions were tough and the winners were well-deserving. Each and every participant in the Battle of the Books were winners, having enjoyed so many well-written books, some discovering new authors that they would not normally pick up to read!

Intermediate-Level Battle of the Books brings another winning year for fourth grade!
With another year of massive participation for our 4th graders, it is no surprise that once again our fourth graders took the win from their fifth grade competitors. Our fourth grade winners were Erin O, Kellie F, Catherine G, Megan G, Lauren P, Patrick O, Bryan P, Matthew W, and Johnny A. Winners received a trophy and a Battle book bag!

Our fifth grade second-place Battle of the Books Runner ups include Sean E, Anthony P, William O, Matt M, Larry D, Daina P, Maggie J, and Francesca T. Runner ups received a Battle book bag!
Middle School Battle of the Books Final Competition
A strong team took this year's Middle School Battle. Many on this winning team have been on winning teams each and every year! In our Middle School Battle of the Books competition, 8th grade Team 7 won out over other grade 6-8 competitors. Winners include Andrew D, Tim K, Matt B, Joey H, Brian M, Greg M, Charlotte S, Katie J, Tori P, and Maeve M. Winners received a trophy and Battle book bag.
Our Runner ups for the Middle School Battle of the Books came from the
6th grade this year. The runner-up team included Clare T, Kelly O,
Emma W, Emily H, Becky W, Elizabeth M, Jonathan B, and Matt P. Each
team participant won a Battle book bag!
Mrs. McCutcheon will be busy preparing for next years Battle. Be sure to check with her next school year for the upcoming books!
