Chicago Tribune Sports Writer talks with CCC 5th graders!

On Tuesday, March 18th, fifth grade's Crusader Communications Club (CCC) enjoyed time with Chicago Tribune's Sports Writer, Dan Pompei during their after-school writing club! This parent-run program provides our fifth graders extended writing experiences in their after-school hours. Highlights like this make their experience complete, as they strive to create writings like their favorite authors or sports writers like Pompei.

Pompei, an NFL Reporter for the Tribune told of his many interviews with sports stars and challenged the kids to create one sentence describing a Rex Grossman interception. Write-ups included many specific details which impressed Pompei.
