Manna Program
Manna is a permanent fund-raiser for St. Joseph’s School, earning up to $1,000 weekly. To participate, buy certificates or gift cards and use them like cash when you shop.
Who can participate?
Anyone- parents, grandparents, parishioners, friends.What stores participate?
Jewel/Osco (donates 5%), Dominicks (donates 5%), Cub Foods (donates 3%), Shell, Speedway Gas (donates 5%), BP Gas, Downtown Downers Grove, Anderson’s Bookstore, Every Day’s a Sundae, McDonalds, Tivoli, Kohl’s and many more by pre-order.

When can you shop?
Anytime the particiapating stores are open.What can you buy?
Anything the store sells through the checkout counter.When can you buy Manna certificates?
Cash & Carry: Year-round, in the ministry room of the church after the Saturday 5:00 p.m., Sunday 8:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. masses. When school is in session, manna is available Friday from 9:30a.m. to 10:45 a.m. by the gym doors. View the schedule here.Pre-orders: Order forms sent to each school family every Thursday in the messenger envelope. Completed forms with payment are due Monday at 9 a.m. Orders are ready for delivery or pick up on Thursday through the messenger envelope or at the parish center. Your order can also be picked up at any cash and carry sale.
Downtown Dollars:
We sell a $10 gift certificates called "Downtown Dollars" at Cash & Carry and through Pre-orders. The certificates make great coach gifts! For a list of particiapting stores where the gift certificate can be used as cash, click here.
Automatic MANNA Withdrawal NEW!
You can now pay for your Manna purchases with an automatic withdrawal from your checking account. To be eligible for this service you must complete the attached automatic withdrawal form and submit it with a voided check to the St. Joseph Parish Business Office at the parish center. After you have been registered as a member of the automatic withdrawal program you can pay for your Manna purchases in three ways:
- check the debit box on the Manna preorder form
- ask the Manna seller at the cash & carry table to mark you purchase as a debit
- join the “standing order” program
“Standing Order ” Program NEW!
If you are a member of the automatic withdrawal program, you can take advantage of our “standing order” program. With this program we will send you (through your messenger child) your “standing order” every Thursday from now until December 20, 2007 and the amount of your order will be debited from your checking account each week.
For example, if you know you spend at least $100 on groceries and $50 on gas every week, you can sign up for a “standing order” for those amounts. Then every Thursday you would receive $100 of Jewel, Dominicks or Ultra Foods (your choice) and $50 of BP, Shell or Speedway (your choice) gas cards. Your checking account would then be debited $150 every week.
Any card available on the preorder form can be included in a “standing order”.
Don’t forget---if you need more than your “standing order,” you can always fill out an additional preorder form!
