Do You Know Jesus
Fourth Sunday of Easter
John 10:1-10
Today’s gospel message is all about following Jesus. John’s gospel reminds us that in order to follow Christ we need to avoid temptations that lead us away from Him. We’re to be responsible and make decisions that keep us close to Christ. This is what we are told to do by our parents, teachers and church leaders but it is not necessarily easy to do, is it? By imitating Christ and his teachings, we follow Christ.
When you’re with your friends, playing sports or in the classroom, and you are tempted to do something that you know you shouldn't, what can you do to remember to imitate Christ? Your parents and teachers will not always be around to remind you. Do you take time to pray to Jesus to be present in your life every day? How about starting your day, “Good morning Jesus, please be with me today in everything I do.” Doing this can help you remember that Christ is present in your life, and wants to be present in your life, forever.

School Board Discerning New Members
The St. Joseph School Board includes several members whose terms will expire this school year.
Accordingly, the board is discerning new members for the upcoming school year. Reading this announcement could be opportunity knocking at your door. Current board members say that, while this service has claimed some of their free time, it has been a worthwhile and very rewarding experience. Board members are not required to have a child enrolled in the school. Terms are for three years.
If you believe the school board may be for you, or to have a question answered, contact Sister Dorothy at 630-969-4306, Ext. 2222, or Board President Kevin Lynch at kkmblynch@aol.com.

Parent Forum Newsletter
We are sad to have our current board members retire but are excited about our incoming members.
First, we want to say THANK YOU to Marybeth Giuffre and Marie Fitzgerald, our co-Presidents, for a smooth, organized year full of laughs. We also want to say THANK YOU to Leticia Pedraza, our Treasurer, for handling the crazy money flow back and forth, keeping us straight, and for all the fun. You will all be missed.
However, some wonderful new faces will take over. We are excited to announce our new co-Vice-Presidents Laura Freeman and Noreen Woods and our new Treasurer Carol Malone. Kim Dietrich and Amy Kovarik, current co-VPs, will take over as co-Presidents. We are looking forward to another fun year where we can enrich our children.
