Do You Know Jesus
Pentecost Sunday, Year A
John 20: 19-23
Pentecost Sunday is the celebration of Christ sending the Holy Spirit to the Apostles. Christ commissioned the apostles to work on his behalf (just as priests do today) and spread the word of God. The apostles were to spread the word of God not only through their words and by their actions as well. Sometimes our actions speak louder than words. An act of kindness is one example of spreading God’s word. When you help your parents without being asked, when you do something to make a friend feel better, your actions are showing your love of God. What have you done to show your love of God through your actions? Tomorrow (and every day) what will you do to spread God’s word? Here’s a prayer to guide you in your work for God.
God, help me to show your love today in all that I do, and say.

The first order (of 25 orders)was processed and expected delivery is the week of the 19th. I am currently about halfway to filling the second order.
This is definitely the time to purchase this software, as comparable pricing varies from $466 + tax and shipping to well over $700.
The Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 media kit contains: Access, Communicator, Excel, InfoPath, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. If you’re interested, please read the details on the order form to make sure this software will work on your computer. Janet Schuller
Bike Safety Road Rules
Welcome back Springtime! Please review the bike safety rules with your students. We have already had one to many close calls in the parking lot.
Wear your helmet and be safe!
- Always ride with your hands on the handlebars.
- Always stop and check for traffic in both directions when leaving your driveway, an alley, or a curb.
- Cross at intersections. When you pull out between parked cars, drivers can't see you coming.
- Walk your bike across busy intersections using the crosswalk and following traffic signals.
- Ride on the right-hand side of the street, so you travel in the same direction as cars do. Never ride against traffic.
- Don't ride too close to parked cars. Doors can open suddenly.
- Stop at all stop signs and obey street (red) lights just as cars do.
- Ride single file on the street with friends.
- When passing other bikers or people on the street, always pass to their left side, and call out "On your left!" so they know that you are coming.
Parent Forum Volunteer
Appreciation Coffee May 20th
St. Joseph's Parent Forum is fortunate because we have a large pool of volunteers who assist in getting things done! At each event, it reminds us how blessed we are by the number of people willing to pitch in. Our school and children benefit by your time and dedication. As a small way to say thank you, we are hosting a coffee in your honor. Please join us after the school mass on May 20th. The coffee will be held in the Church Hall. Please RSVP to Terese Burk or Cathy Metzler via phone or email. Thank you for your time and hope to see you on the 20th!
