Do You Know Jesus?
23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Luke 14:25-30, 33
The message in Luke's Gospel today is clear - to be a disciple of Christ we must put Christ and all that he represents first in our lives. We are to love God and Jesus more than any person or possession. This may be a difficult thing for people to do. But as Christians, it is what we are asked to do.

Think about what you do in your daily life. Every day you make choices; choices on how to spend your time or who to spend time with. Do the choices you make in your life help you to follow Christ? Or, do they lead you away from Christ? If there are things in your life that pull you away from Christ, what types of changes do you feel you need to make to put Christ first?
