Do You Know Jesus?
33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Luke 23: 35-43

In Luke’s Gospel today we hear of a criminal who asked Jesus for help. This individual acknowledged the significance of Christ and Christ responded to him saying that they would be in Heaven together. As the criminal in today’s Gospel acknowledged Jesus as a King who’ll reign with God, we know that Jesus cares for us and will take care of us if we let him reign in our hearts.
How do you acknowledge Christ in your life? Think of the many ways to recognize Christ every day in our life: prayers, respect for others, help those in need, share our blessings with others. Share with your family specific examples of how you acknowledge Christ in your life.

Annual Christmas Collection
Dear Parents,
It’s that time of year again, the 19th Annual Christmas Collection for the St. Joseph School Personnel.

Each year we ask our families to consider contributing to this Gift Fund that was established to recognize all School Personnel. All contributions will be divided among full-time, part-time, aides and staff, with full-time teachers receiving the largest allocation. A list of those families who contribute will be enclosed with each gift.

Beginning next year, you will only be notified of the collection via the online Messenger.  There will also be a link provided so that you may print a copy of this letter to keep in a convenient place!

If you choose to participate, checks may be made payable to “PARENT FORUM”,  and mailed, via USPS (please do not send through school, envelopes get lost in backpacks) to:

Hoe Down Was a Success!
Our November 17th Hoe Down was a huge success! 230 enjoyed an evening at The Barn (Arabian Knights Farms), including 23 St. Joseph Staff members. The event earned over $48,000 in profits for St. Joseph School from reservations, business sponsorships/ads, silent auction, raffle, party partners events, school projects, bean bag tournament and monetary donations. Thanks so much to everyone who attended, volunteered, supported the auction and raffle and/or donated items to make the evening fun and successful! Thanks especially to the Planning Committee – Kelly Roth, Maribeth Ruf, Suzanne Shover, Kerry Griffin, Greg Elisha and Beth Harbauer – and all of their respective team members, for all of your time and talents to organize the event.
