DG Junior Woman’s Club 1999 Recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award...
Lillian Moss!

In 1999, fifth grader Sarah Wisniewski found herself appreciating her former third grade teacher, Lillian Moss. She recalled the time spent with her third grade teacher. Her letter to the Junior Woman’s Club included, "I'm in fifth grade now, and I still remember her kindness towards me. When I was in third grade, I was having a hard time in math..." She continued, "Mrs. Moss offered to stay after school to help me with math. She took her own time to help me understand math. She made me feel good, knowing that she cared. Now, because of her, I got an A in math on my report card this year. That is why I think she is an outstanding teacher."

Sarah, now in college and majoring in elementary education, still finds herself being mentored by St. Joseph teachers as she observes in the same classrooms she once studied in! Sarah is sure to match those teachers she speaks of!
