Volunteering at St. Joe's

Out of concern for the safety and well-being of children, every volunteer is required to participate in the Protecting God’s Children Program and to have a background check.

We encourage all of our parents to attend this awareness program which gives information about warning signs of child sexual abuse, methods used to commit abuse, and empowerment steps one can use to prevent it. Protecting God’s Children is a 2-3 hour presentation. Forms needed for the background checks are available in the school office.

During school hours, all volunteers must to sign in when entering the school. The sign-in book is on the table in the vestibule near the office.
