“New” Pizza Lunch News
Attention pizza lovers! Pizza lunch has lots of new and exciting changes:
- Aurelios will be our new pizza vendor. Slices of pizza are now bigger and each slice comes in an individual box with a $5.00 coupon off on your next pizza! Remind your children to bring home the coupons!
- In keeping with the State of Illinois school standards and increasing environmental awareness, we will no longer offer pop, juice boxes or water bottles at pizza lunch. As always, milk will be available. If you wish your child to have an alternative drink, please feel free to send it along.
- The new pizza price, per slice will be $1.50; desserts are still $.50. It will be even easier to pay with our new punch cards! See our next point.
Pizza Punch Cards
We are offering Prepaid Pizza Punch Cards to make Friday mornings a bit less chaotic. The details of the punch cards are as follows:
- The cards will be sold in $20.00 denominations.
- Once you send them to school, they will be kept in each child’s classroom and handed out on Friday.
- A separate card should be purchased for every student (not per family).
- At checkout, the cashier will punch out the dollar denomination for the student’s purchase and keep the card. It will then be returned to the homeroom teacher to retain until the following Friday.
- Once a child has depleted/almost depleted the value of the card, it will be sent home with a note advising the parent. Please note: you may purchase additional cards at any time... you do not need to wait until your child's card is depleted.
- There are various ways to purchase your cards:
- Download the order form, complete it, and send it to the School, Attn: Parent Forum Pizza Lunch and
we will send card(s) to your child's classroom. The teacher will handle the cards for the children.
- Or, purchase through school supply store or Manna
- At the end of the year, remaining balances will be carried over to the following year. Eighth graders will receive a refund of any remaining balance.
Please note you will still have the option of using cash. As always, should your child forget their money, they will be allowed to purchase lunch and an “Oops” note will be sent home.
