Meet Rita Stasi,
Our Principal

Mrs. Stasi joined St. Joseph School in 2007. As principal, she has made many important advancements in a short time, including:

• enhancing curriculum with expanded vocabulary and reading programs
• introducing Spanish to 7th and 8th grade curriculum
• opening the doors to St. Joseph Preschool in 2010, and many more!

Mrs. Stasi comes to St. Joseph from the Chicago Public School System where she was principal for seven years. Previously, she was a teacher and worked in special education in the same school. Mrs. Stasi has a couple of unique ties to St. Joseph School. First, while members of Divine Savior Church, her two boys attended St. Joseph. Secondly, over the past couple of years, it was to 'her' school that St. Joseph School donated coats which were collected by our eighth grade students and parents.

Mrs. Stasi received her Teaching Degree from Mundelein College, and went on to finish her Master of Arts in English at DePaul University. Continuing her education, she received a Masters in Educational Administration at Governors State University, and is certified in Special Education.
