Saint Joseph School of Downers Grove
I came to St. Joseph School in 1993. I am a First Grade teacher, teaching Language Arts, Math, Religion and Science. Before coming to St. Joseph School, I taught First Grade at another Catholic school; prior to that, I worked as a substitute teacher in schools in several suburbs. I received my degree from Elmhurst College.
First grade is an important and marvelous time of learning and growing. Seeing the progress of the students through the school year is just amazing! I believe in helping students reach their potential and preparing them for the real world. I strive to create an encouraging classroom environment where students respect and support each other as they learn. Christian values are infused in everything we do.
I love teaching at St. Joseph School because of its warm and caring community. I enjoy being with the students; their smiles, kindness and enthusiasm make teaching so rewarding! The parents are so supportive, and the friendliness and cooperation among the faculty members is wonderful.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, exercise and spending time with my family and friends.

I find the best way to reach me is by phone or email. I normally check my voicemail and email every school day; please allow 24 hours for a response. If you need to reach me quickly please send a note with your child in the morning or leave a message with the school secretary.
