Saint Joseph School of Downers Grove
Chris Tiritilli joined St. Joseph School in the 2011-12 school year. Attending DePaul University, he received his Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education with a middle grade endorsement in Social Studies and Physical Education. He carries an ISBE Highly Qualified status for middle school in history and geography, and at the high school level for U.S. & World History, Geography, Political Science/Civic and Economics.
Before coming to St. Joseph, Mr. Tiritilli worked as an instructional aide and substitute teacher for several years at O’Neil Junior High in Downers Grove for both 7th and 8th grade. He worked closely with BD/ED children and also coached track while there. “I believe that all children have the ability to learn. I look forward to bringing out their creativity and critical thinking and molding them into productive members of society.”
Now living in Naperville, Mr. Tiritilli grew up in Woodridge attending St. Scholastica, where he was active in sports. That means as a youngster, he did compete against our St. Joseph Crusaders. He remembers our green gym well and is sure that St. Joe won! He went on to Benet where he enjoyed sports including football, baseball and track through his high school years.
Mr. Tiritilli enjoys music. For the past 14 years, he’s played guitar, bass guitar and sung vocals. In his spare time, he gives guitar lessons, which he has done for the past eight years.
The best way to contact Mr. Tiritilli is through email.
